Tim Echols was elected to the Commission in the general election of November 2010 after spending 15 years in the non-profit sector.  Tim’s campaign focused on consumer protection, clean energy, and accountability. He travels the state speaking to students, civic groups and businesses about the importance of the PSC’s responsibilitiesundefinedespecially providing accountability to those the agency regulates.

Tim and his wife Windy added solar hot water heating to their Athens home just before being sworn-in. He has a strong interest in the transportation responsibilities of the PSC.  Additionally, he promotes the use of CNG (compressed natural gas) as a transportation fuel and hopes one day America will be less dependent on foreign oil. In fact, Tim drives a Honda Civic that runs exclusively on Compressed Natural Gas.
