Tyrone Pelt will discuss how Dashboards help GSA track electricity, gas, and water usage throughout the southeast. GSA’s Southeast Sunbelt Region has developed in-house, a robust yet easy to use, Energy and Water Dashboard to track electricity, gas, and water usage at over 120 facilities throughout the southeast. The Dashboard is structured so that data can be viewed at the regional, state, city, and individual building levels. Also, historic electricity, gas, and water data are available back to 2003, which allows for tracking performance over time. The Dashboard has been used as the foundational tool which has led the Region to exceed energy and water reduction goals for the past several years. The use of this Dashboard has greatly helped GSA’s Energy & Sustainability Program fulfill its mission to conserve natural resources and reduce the environmental impacts associated with building operations. Tyrone Pelt is the Regional Energy Coordinator for the U.S. General Services Administration, Region 4 in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Pelt is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and The Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master’s in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
