In Georgia, Energy Regulators are elected as the run-off ballot demonstrated.  Tim Echols, our speaker, is Vice-Chair of the Georgia Public Service Commission.  Founded as the Railroad Commission, the PSC was created in 1879 and has been managing the right-of-way ever sense.

Tim Echols has three degrees from the University of Georgia, hosts a weekly radio show called Energy Matters and he and his wife have seven children--and three of them are in law enforcement.  Echols is an author, an ordained minister and comes from a long-line of entrepreneurs.

His presentation will address the growing market of electric vehicles and battery technology.  He'll talk about cost, range anxiety, his personal experience with now his fourth EV, and how the proliferation of electric vehicles is going to affect Georgia’s electrical distribution system.
